Overview

David Grann’s 2017 nonfiction book, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI reveals the prejudice, greed, and violence that spawned the Osage murders, and the quest by federal investigators to bring justice to the Osage. Grann’s book covers the Osage’s fate from the 1920s to 2015, with the majority of the book’s events occurring in the 1920s. The book’s 2023 film adaptation was directed by Martin Scorsese was nominated for the Hollywood Critics Association’s Most Anticipated Film award.
