The Sea of Monsters is the second book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling young adult fantasy series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians
. It was published in the spring of 2006, a little less than a year after The Lightning Thief. The novel follows Percy Jackson, a thirteen-year-old demigod, as he and his friends venture into the Sea of Monsters to rescue his friend Grover from a Cyclops and save Camp Half-Blood with the help of the Golden Fleece.
