My child is yet a stranger in the world;
She hath not seen the change of fourteen years.

Capulet describes his daughter Juliet with this quote in Act 1, Scene 2. With it, he both conveys that she is very young (even by the standards of the time) and suggests that she differs from most in her perception of the world around her. Earth hath swallowed all my hopes but she.
She’s the hopeful lady of my earth

As Scene 2 continues, Capulet refers to the fact that Juliet is his only living child and that she is the last remaining source of hope he has left in the world.

Compare her face with some that I shall show
And I will make thee think thy swan a crow

Near the end of the scene, Benvolio uses humorously irreverent phrasing to demonstrate his support for his lovesick friend Romeo by promising to introduce him to women at the Capulet ball who will make him forget all about Rosaline.
