Overview

Charlotte’s Web, published in 1952, is a classic children’s fiction novel written by E. B. White. This best-selling Newbery Honor book features human and animal characters as they grow-up and grow in friendship, especially as they try to save the pig Wilbur’s life. The story has been adapted into movies, videogames, and a musical. A critical and commerical success upon publication, it has continued to sell steadily throughout its over 70-year history, likely making it the best-selling children’s paperback book of all time. Charlotte’s Web is also an international phenonenom, reportedly having been translated into at least 23 languages.
