The wizarding world obviously thinks the muggle world is boring as toast, as they lost interest our technological advances some time around 1920, content to exist thereon in a kind of steampunk limbo of heaving old trains and floating candles. In fairness to wizards, they never had to deal with the Sony Discman; but with all due respect to Muggles, we have Snapchat.
