Snapchats from Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet were teenagers, which means two things. First of all, their love story was always doomed to fail. If their families’ blood feud didn’t ruin the relationship, going off to separate colleges almost certainly would’ve done the trick.
Second: the most unrealistic part of this story was that they were constantly saying things like “My bounty is as boundless as the sea” right to one another’s faces. If Romeo and Juliet had been real people, they would’ve been using Snapchat to communicate their innermost thoughts and feelings just like the rest of us. (I personally haven’t expressed an emotion out loud since the year 2014.) And if you’re wondering what that would’ve looked like, wonder no more.
