Snapchats from The Great Gatsby
There was a lot going on in the 1920s. Mostly it was just a booze-fueled, decade-long party, which is why it’s a shame Snapchat wasn’t invented until 90 years after the fact. Doing cool stuff and showing off all the cool stuff you’re doing is practically what Snapchat was MADE FOR. (It’s also great for seeing what your friends are up to and then sulking because they didn’t invite you.) (This is just something I’ve heard.)
I guess what I’m saying is The Great Gatsby is a fine book and all, but you know what it needs? Snapchat, and also maybe a chapter where Nick and Gatsby go to the pictures together. Can you imagine the snaps that would result from a Gatsby party? Because I can. And I did.
