Overview

All the Bright Places is the New York Times best-selling young adult novel by Jennifer Niven. It uses alternating first-person narratives to depict the relationship between Finch and Violet, two teenagers who desperately want to escape their small Indiana town. The novel, first published in 2015, stems from the author’s personal experiences with both death and young love. Niven worked on the screenplay for a film based on All the Bright Places with Justice Smith and Elle Fanning as Finch and Violet released by Netflix in 2020.
