Overview

Paper Towns is a young adult mystery novel by John Green that was published in 2008. The story is narrated by Quentin Jacobsen, a high school senior who becomes obsessed with finding his neighbor and long-time crush Margo Roth Spiegelman after she goes missing. As Quentin unravels clues Margo left behind he embarks on a road trip with his friends, going on a journey of self-discovery that explores the blurred line between reality and the romanticized images we create of others in our heads. The novel explores themes of idealization, perception, and the complexity of human identity.
