Overview

Tuck Everlasting, published in 1975 by Natalie Babbitt, is a children’s novel that explores the concept of immortality and the role of death in the cycle of life. The story centers around a young girl named Winnie Foster who meets the Tucks, a family that has discovered the secret to eternal life. Through her interactions with the Tuck family, Winnie learns about the beauty of mortality and the importance of living fully in the present moment. The novel was adapted into films in 1981 and again in 2002, winning the Critics Choice Award for Best Family Film in 2003.
