Roommates can be a bit of a mixed bag. If you’re lucky, you will enjoy a peaceful coexistence with a person whose presence you can tolerate. If you’re not so lucky, you will wind up living with a person who nearly burns down the dorm once per week because she keeps lighting candles and forgetting about them. (That’s what happened to me, and she wasn’t even the worst roommate in my social circle. One of my friends had a roommate who tried to exorcise the demons out of her while she was sleeping. College! What a time!)
