Nothing in life is as certain as this one salient truth: your favorite character is going to die. They are the only pure thing left in this godforsaken world, but they are going to die as surely as the sun is coming out tomorrow.

Here’s to all the characters we knew were going to die (hello, foreshadowing!), and here’s to those whose untimely deaths took us completely by surprise.
