Picking up a book. Reading it. Finishing it. Doesn’t that sound nice? Of course it does! But in this day and age, who has that kind of time? I used to force myself to finish every book I started, even if I hated it. However, now that I’m older and wiser and the human race is hurtling towards oblivion, I’ve given myself permission to stop reading books that bring me nothing but hair-pulling misery.
And I’m not the only one. Through extensive research (I perused reviews on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Goodreads, and also I asked people), I’ve concluded that the following eight classic books are the books most people are least likely to finish once they start… if, indeed, they finish at all.
