6 Sci-Fi Books That Predicted the Future

I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, much less 100 years from now. Technologically speaking, I’m pretty sure the future will have new iPhones, but that’s really the only claim I feel confident making.

Fortunately, no one’s asking me to come up with plausible futuristic technology. No one was really asking Ray Bradbury to do that, either, but that didn’t stop him from predicting earbuds, flat-screen TVs, iPads, and the horrors of state-based censorship in Fahrenheit 451.

And he’s not the only one who saw stuff coming. Science-fiction writers have been doing this for hundreds of years, and sometimes their predictions are (frighteningly) spot-on.
