BREAKING: We’ve Got the PIPING HAWT New Fantastic Beasts Trailer!

Last night at the MTV Movie Awards, something magical happened that had nothing to do with Alexander Skarsgard not wearing any pants: Warner Bros. released a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts! Unlike the teasers they’ve been taunting us with up until now, this one’s got some real substance to it, so I won’t have to spend this entire time waxing poetic about Eddie Redmayne’s glorious head of hair. Instead, let’s talk about…

• Newt Scamander was kicked out of Hogwarts for a magical mishap involving the kind of creature that is currently lurking in the suitcase he just smuggled into America. Considering Hogwarts is pretty lax about that sort of thing (Harry and Ron all but burned the place down in their time), I’m guessing whatever he did was pretty major.
• Colin Farrell was chock-full of dire voiceover warnings. His character, Percival Graves, warned us that Newt’s a loose cannon with magical creatures no man can control.
• We got a Dumbledore name drop! Albus argued against Newt’s expulsion, presumably because of Newt’s blindingly beautiful hair and how it’s the apex of all human achievement.
