Every Pride and Prejudice Adaptation, Ranked

Not all Jane Austen adaptations are created equal. Some might be faithful to the source material, but they’re about as witty and romantic as Mr. Collins trying to propose to Elizabeth. Others might take a few liberties with the plot (not unlike the way Mr. Wickham takes liberties with the truth), yet they still manage to capture the spirit of what makes Austen’s novels such timeless classics.

So with that in mind—and armed with all the objectivity of Mrs. Bennet ranking her daughters’ chances at marriage—I will be ranking some of the most popular Pride and Prejudice adaptations to have ever graced our screens.
