The 10 Best and Worst Movies of 2016
We saw a lot of movies this year. Some of them were good, some of them were bad, and some of them were Swiss Army Man, which I’m still not entirely sure about. But I’m not here to talk about the Swiss Army Mans of 2016, those middling cinematic enigmas—I’m here to talk about the Moanas and the X-Men: Apocalypses. You know, the movies we either loved or hated. The movies we could all agree on. The movies that had us all saying, “Hey, that movie was objectively pretty good!” or “Hey, that movie was a waste of precious life seconds!”
These are those movies. I’ve assembled five of the best and five of the worst, in no particular order. If you disagree with anything on this list, I’m sorry. But the selection process was incredibly scientific (which is to say I saw these movies, had thoughts about them, and decided to slap a slideshow together), so I don’t know what to tell you.
