The 6 Best and Worst TV Show Adaptations of Books

On the whole, I prefer TV shows to movies because they allow me to at least entertain the possibility that I might get up off the couch after 30-45 minutes and go do something else. (I won’t, of course, but I can at least pretend that I might.)

TV shows are also pretty great for reasons that have nothing to do with my countless personal shortcomings. For instance, they make for some pretty decent book adaptations. That’s not to say that movies don’t, but when you turn a book into a TV show, there’s just a lot more room with which to do the source material justice. There’s also a lot more room to screw things up completely.
