The ’90s are back, and no, I’m not able to explain the spaghetti straps, bike pants, or crocheted berets. You either keep an open mind about the ’90s or you don’t.

The ’90s were a fascinating time, in part because it was acceptable to wear silver lamé pants around as “street wear,” and in part because the world was a little more naive back then: stocks were up, Europe was gettin’ it’s project on, Sister Act had made choir cool again, bangs were baby. Perhaps the best gift of the ’90s was the treasure trove of teen movies that offered important lessons about how to find your true self (usually: take your glasses off and/or flat iron your hair).
