Overview

Prospero, the protagonist of The Tempest, undergoes changes in his character over the course of the play, and understanding his character arc is important to an overall interpretation of the play. Students will use this worksheet to track how and why Prospero changes. After completing the chart, students will write short essays that describe and analyze Prospero’s transformation. Pass out this worksheet after students have finished reading the complete text.
