Overview

Comparing characters and noting how characters relate to one another enables students to understand characters’ motivations and personalities better. Students will use this worksheet to compare Clarisse McClellan and Mildred Montag and answer questions about what Guy Montag learns from each of these women based on their personalities. Pass out the worksheet before students begin reading the novel. Encourage students to fill out the chart as they learn new aspects of each character’s personality. Have students complete the questions after they have completed the novel.
