These lines from Act 4, Scene 3 are the beginning of a long speech that Juliet makes when she is all alone and preparing to drink the potion Friar Lawrence has made that will result in her being reunited with Romeo… if the plan works, and she realizes it might not. Romeo, Romeo, Romeo, here’s drink. I drink to thee.
This is the line that Juliet speaks at the end of her soliloquy in Act 4, Scene 3, right before she drinks the potion. This soliloquy—as with all of Juliet’s quotes leading up to it—reveal her strength and determination when facing the tremendous challenges that the world and fate itself have put before her. This final line in particular highlights her devotion to Romeo, which is the most important source of her strength.
